Icarus is a frontier planet with extreme biomes: scorching deserts, frozen tundras, toxic swamps, and lush forests. The atmosphere is breathable but thin. Strange energy surges complicate electronics. Rumors of hidden alien technology persist, but the planet is mostly untamed wilderness.

Crash Site
Your drop pod lies crumpled among scattered debris. Sparks occasionally arc from exposed wiring. The air smells of ozone and scorched earth. A emergency beacon blinks weakly from the wreckage.
- Forest ClearingA tranquil clearing surrounded by towering phosphorescent trees. Strange chirps echo from the canopy. A small stream runs through the center, its banks lined with edible-looking ferns. Small animal tracks dot the muddy ground.
Wanderer Lyra - Desert OutcropA cluster of jagged sandstone spires jutting from the red desert sand. The wind howls, carrying fine grit. Scraggly metallic cactus-like plants cling to the rock. A deep crevice at the base suggests a cave system.
- Swamp OutpostAn abandoned prefab structure half-sunken in murky water. Moss and vines cover its corrugated walls. Faint chemical smell mingles with rot. The door hangs open, revealing dark interior and a blinking console.
Old Zeb - Arctic CaveThe entrance to an ice cave, its mouth rimmed with frost. Frigid air pours out, carrying a deep rumbling sound. Icicles like spears hang from the ceiling. Faint blue glow emanates from deeper within.
Ghost Runner - Mineral FieldA barren stretch of ground littered with crystalline rocks of various colors. The soil crunches underfoot, rich with ore fragments. A abandoned mining cart rusts near a shallow excavation. The air is still, almost oppressive.
Pilot Cora and Miner Jax - Rival CampA fortified encampment with patched tents and a watchtower. Smoke rises from a central fire. Shouts and clanking metal can be heard. A flag with a skull and crossed pickaxes flutters in the breeze.
Maya Ortega and Agent Vex - Ancient RuinsCrumbled stone structures overgrown with glowing moss. Strange carvings cover the walls, depicting celestial events. A large stone altar sits at the center, humming faintly. The air feels charged.
Dr. Levi - Geyser BasinA field of steaming vents and bubbling mud pools. The ground trembles occasionally. Sulfur smell hangs thick. A derelict sensor station stands precariously near a large geyser, its cables trailing into the mud.
Mechanic Finn - Extraction ZoneA flat plateau marked with landing beacons. A battered landing pad is etched into the stone. The sky above is clear, a reminder of escape. Wind whistles across the open space. A single crate sits near the pad.
