Terious: The Long Way Out
In Terious, magic is thinning while wires, engines and firearms spread, and a single bullet ends a life as surely as any spell ever did. The city takes everyone who comes in and releases almost nobody, so every plan here comes down to a gate, a bribe, or a body.
Herit
Starts at Rookery RoomsA brave man with more gut than sense. Herit founded the Lantern Pact, ran it badly, and got thrown out by the people he trusted. He now lives in a rented back room with nobody behind him, and he still walks toward trouble because he cannot think of a good reason not to.
Looks likeA broad-shouldered man in his thirties with a shaved head gone stubbly, dark skin, a boxer's nose and a half-healed cut over one eyebrow. He wears a long patched dark coat over a gray shirt and worn boots, with a heavy revolver holstered openly at his hip.

Rookery Rooms
A narrow boarding house wedged between taller buildings on a wet street in the lower city. A green lamp over the door is the only light for a block, and the third-floor back room is the closest thing Herit has to a home.
Mara Vint- FogmarketA long market lane where tarp stalls sell shell boxes, hot food, stripped parts and rumor. The fog never clears here, and half the deals in the city get made between two stalls where nobody can see them. With some corner turns, you might find illegal goods like guns, ammo, drugs, magic stones, and forbidden technology.
Nix and Doss Kettle - The Brass GateThe only gate anyone admits to, set in a black wall taller than the buildings around it. Wardens check papers under searchlights all night, and nobody has walked out of it without a stamp in living memory.
Bram Ockley - Static TowerA brick power tower where cables sag between insulators and the air tastes of metal. Magic barely works near the transformers, and the Pact will not go inside the fence.
- The Quiet ChapelA small stone chapel with a broken bell tower and faded sigils worn off the steps. Mages still come here to argue, and the candles inside stay lit only because somebody keeps buying matches.
Old Hallow and Ilsa Renn - The LampyardA rail yard of dead locomotives, stripped carriages and stacked street lamps nobody has lit in years. The Lantern Pact runs its business out of the old signal shed at the back.
- WastelandA ring outside of Terious with destroyed buildings from decades ago. Monsters lurk there. Most monuments are there, broken and with black substances living in them.
