Peter Symonds College
Red-brick sixth-form campus with busy corridors, notice boards covered in club posters, and the constant murmur of students. The main quad features a central fountain surrounded by benches where groups gather between lessons. A large sports notice board near the entrance displays upcoming tennis fixtures and social events.
Olivia Bennett and Zara Malik- Winchester Rackets and FitnessModern indoor tennis centre with six courts, echoing ball sounds, and the sharp smell of rubber and sweat. Glass walls overlook outdoor hard courts where local juniors train. A small reception desk with a vending machine sits near the entrance, and a whiteboard lists court bookings and upcoming LTA events.
Arjun Griffiths, Pete Collins, Sophia Reyes, and Tom Reynolds - Marcin's HouseA modest semi-detached house on a quiet Winchester street with a small front garden and a garage converted into a makeshift gym. The kitchen table is often covered with training schedules and schoolbooks. A tennis bag leans against the hallway wall, and the living room window looks out onto the street where mates sometimes wait in cars.
- National Tennis Centre LondonLarge purpose-built facility in Roehampton with multiple indoor and outdoor courts, a gym, and analysis rooms. The reception area displays ranking boards and photos of British players. The air carries the scent of fresh court paint and the distant thwack of professional-level rallies echoes through the corridors.
Daniel Khan - Emma's HouseA large detached house on the outskirts of Winchester where weekend parties are frequently held. The back garden has a patio with string lights and a makeshift bar area. Music often drifts from open windows, and cars line the driveway late into the night.
Emma Thompson - Jamie's HouseA terraced house in central Winchester where smaller, more intimate gatherings happen. The living room is cramped but always has music playing and people sitting on the floor. The kitchen opens directly onto a tiny yard where people smoke and talk.
Jamie Hayes - Winchester High StreetBusy pedestrianised street lined with shops, cafes, and fast-food places where students hang out after college. The sound of buses and chatter fills the air. Benches and low walls provide spots for groups to sit and watch the world go by.
- The Rolling Hills PubA traditional pub on the edge of town popular with older sixth-formers. Dim lighting, wooden tables, and the smell of beer and chips create a relaxed but slightly tense atmosphere when rival groups are present. A dartboard and pool table sit in the back room.
Lily Parker - Winchester Abbey GardensHistoric public gardens with wide lawns, old trees, and a small duck pond. Students often come here to relax, revise, or meet up away from parents. The gardens are quiet during the week but become lively on sunny weekends.
- Wimbledon All England ClubIconic grass courts and the famous Centre Court visible from outside the grounds. During the tournament the area buzzes with media, fans, and players. Even outside of the event the prestige of the location hangs in the air.
